In Australia, Most Mobile Ad Spend Goes Toward Smartphones
Mobile ad spending in Australia will reach $1.36 billion this year. Based on recent research, the majority of that spending will go toward ads on smartphones. In terms of format, display will top search for share of mobile ad investments in the country. Smartphones account for about 60% of mobile ad dollars in the country.Most of that spending goes toward ads on smartphones.
According to India's InMobi , this is closely in line with the share of ad impressions served on the two devices. On InMobi's network, 67.3% of mobile ad impressions served in Australia were served on smartphones, vs. 32.3% served to tablets.
It was found that around two-fifths of web traffic to marketer sites in Australia came from mobile. Agency marketers put the figure at 42%, while client-side respondents said it was 36%. That is a higher share than the percentage of digital ad spending going toward mobile per estimates.
